சில நேரத்தில் சில கிறுக்குகள்…

அவ்வப்போது எனக்கு எதுமேலாவது பயங்கர கிறுக்கு பிடிக்கும். எதன் மீது எப்போது பிடிக்கும் என்று சொல்ல முடியாது,ஆனால் கண்டிப்பாக‌ கிறுக்குப் பிடிக்கும்.விளைவு:அதன் பாதிப்பு நீங்க சில நாட்கள்/மாதங்கள் ஆகும்.முதல் கிறுக்கு: இரண்டாவது வகுப்பு படிக்கும் போது ஜீன்ஸின் மேல் உண்டாயிற்று.எப்படியும் ஒரு ஜீன்ஸாவது வாங்கி போட்டு அலைய வேண்டும் என்று வெறியோடு இருந்தேன்.ஆனால் எண்பதுகளில் ஜீன்ஸ் என்றால் வீட்டில் ஓட விட்டு உதைப்பார்கள்.மிதவாதி பெற்றோர்கள் ஜீன்ஸ் வாங்கித் தர முடியாததை ” நீமட்டும் காப்பரிட்சைல First Rank வாங்கு, கண்டிப்பா உனக்கு Jeans வாங்கித்தரேன் ” என்று கவிஞர்கள் போல் இலைமறை காயாக வெளிப்படுத்துவார்கள்.இந்த பதிலுக்குப் பிறகு எந்த மானமுள்ள சிறுவனும் ஜீன்ஸ் கேட்க மாட்டான்.நல்லவேளையாக,எனக்கு அப்படி எதுவும் நேரவில்லை,ஒரு சில கெஞ்சல்களுக்குப்பின் (கோடு போட்ட ப்ரவுன்) ஜீன்ஸ் கிடைத்தது.ஜீன்ஸ் கிடைத்த சந்தோஷத்தை வார்த்தைகளால் விவ‌ரிக்க முடியாது.(அதற்கு ஒரு தனி பதிவு போட வேண்டும்) எப்போதும் ஜீன்ஸின் நினைப்பே மன‌தில் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருந்தது.ஸ்கூலுக்கு போகும் நேரம் தவிர எல்லா நேரத்தலும் அந்த ஜீன்ஸோடு திரிந்ததால்,சில மாதங்களிலேயே அது நாய் வாயில் அகப்பட்ட ரப்பர் பந்து போல் ஆனது.ஒரு கட்டத்தில் ஜீன்ஸ்,ஜட்டி ஆகுற நிலைமைக்கு போய்விட‌ வேறு வழியில்லாமல் என் Jeans Obsession முடிந்தது.அதன்பின் டி.ராஜேந்தர்(மைதிலி என்னை காதலி பார்த்த விளைவு),Yamaha RX 100,(இன்று வரை கியர் வண்டி ஓட்ட தெரியாது அது வேறு விஷயம்),பூர்ணிமா ஜெயராமன் (கிளிஞ்சல்கள் பாதிப்பு),அஞ்சலி படம்,ஷாலினி(காதலுக்கு மரியாதை) என்று பல கிறுக்குகள் அவ்வப்போது வந்து போய் கொண்டிருந்தது.

இப்போது கடந்த சில மாதங்களாக பழைய ஹிந்தி பாடல்கள் மீது கிறுக்குத் திரும்பியிருக்கிறது. ஹிந்தி பாடல்கள் எனக்கு அறிமுகமானது என்னுடைய மூன்றாவது வகுப்பில்.Tezaab மற்றும் Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak படத்தின் பாடல்கள் வெகுவாக என்னை பாதித்த சமயம்,என் அப்பாவோடு ஆபிஸ் டூர் சென்றிருந்தேன்.(நாகூர்,வேளாங்கன்னி, நாகப்பட்டினம்) டூரில் நான் என் அப்பாவிடம் கேட்டது ஒன்றே ஒன்றுதான், ” Tezaab மற்றும் Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak படத்தின் காஸெட் மட்டும் வாங்கித்தாங்க‌ப்பா வேற எதுவும் வேணாம்”. என் வயித்துல பால வாத்தடான்னு சொல்லாத குறையாக என் அப்பாவிற்கு சந்தோஷம்,வெறும் பத்து ரூபாயோட போச்சுல்ல‌ தலவலி என்று சம்மதித்துவிட்டார். ஆனால் காஸெட் சுலபமாக கிடைக்கவில்லை, நாகப்பட்டினத்தை சுற்றி பார்க்க வந்த நாங்கள்,அங்கு உள்ள எல்லா காஸெட் கடைகளை சுற்றி பார்க்கத் தொடங்கினோம்.யார் செய்த புண்ணியமோ, கடைசியாக‌ ஒரு கடையில் கிடைத்தது.அதற்குப் பிறகு நான் அவ்வளவு வெறி கொண்டு ஹிந்தி பாடல்களை கேட்டதில்லை.ரஹ்மான் போட்ட ஒரு சில ஹிந்தி படங்கள்,Saajan,Hum Aapke Hain Kounனோடு முடிந்தது என் ஹிந்தி இசைப் பயணம்.

ஆனால்,கடந்த சில மாதங்களுக்குப் முன் யதேச்சையாக ஒரு ஹிந்திப்பட பாடலைக் கேட்டு மிரண்டு போனேன்.அது ஒரு கஜல் வடிவப் பாடல்.அந்த பாடலின் சோகம்,மெல்லிய புல்லாங்குழல் இசை,மிக முக்கியமாக பாடகி Chhaya Ganguli பாடிய விதம்,மனதை என்னவோ செய்தது.சமீபத்தில் என்னை மிகவும் பாதித்த பாடல்.அதுவும் இரவு நேரங்களில்,என் அறையில் எல்லோரும் தூங்கிய பிறகு அந்த பாடலை கேக்கும் போது,சோகத்தின் முழு வலியையும் உணர முடிந்தது. அந்த வாரம் முழுக்க அந்த பாடல் மனதில் ஒலித்துகொண்டேருந்தது.

Singer : Chhaya Ganguli .

இந்தப் பாடலுக்கு இசையமைத்தவர் ஜெய்தேவ்.இளையராஜா,ரஹ்மானைப் போல இவரும் மூன்று முறை சிறந்த இசைக்கான தேசிய விருது வாங்கியிருக்கிறார்.இளையராஜா சொல்வது போல் எவ்வளவு அருமையான Composers இந்தியாவில் இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள்!!இந்தப் பாடல் வந்து முப்பது வருடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு கேட்கிறேன் என்று நினைக்கும்போது வெட்கமும் வருத்தமுமாக இருந்தது.எப்படி, இவரை போன்ற இசையமைப்பாளர்களை பற்றி தெரியாமல் போயிற்று?இதே போல இன்னும் எவ்வளவு அழகான பாடல்களை இழந்திருக்கிறோம்? பொதுவாக நம் பலருக்கும் இசையின் ரசனை தமிழ் பாடல்களோடு முடிந்துவிடுகிறது(இன்னும் குறிப்பாக சொன்னால்,இளையராஜா ரசிகர்களுக்கு இசைஞானியோடும்,ரஹ்மான் ரசிகர்களுக்கு ர‌ஹ்மானோடும்) இன்னும் சிலர் தமிழை விட்டால் Eminem,Linkin Park,Black Eyed Peas என்று இறங்கி விடுகிறார்கள்.மிகச் சிலரே பழைய ஹிந்திப் பாடல்களை விரும்புகின்றனர்.

இந்த பாடல் பாதித்த விளைவு Youtube,Wikipedia,Orkut என்று எல்லாத்திலும் பழைய ஹிந்திப் பாடல்களை தேட ஆரம்பித்தேன்.(இன்னும் தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்) அப்படித் தேடிக் கிடைத்த சில நல்ல பாடல்க‌ள் :

Movie : Zindagi.

Music : Shankar – Jaikishan.

USP: Manna Dey மிக மிக‌ அருமையாக பாடிய பாடல்.(Watch out for some nice Sitar interludes in the song and Of course Vaijayanthimala too)

Movie : Kaagaz Ke Phool.

Music : S.D.Burman.

USP : Soulful rendition By Geeta Dutt,beautiful Prelude,ahead of its times Cinematography by V.K.Murthy(Some nice Crane/Long shots) The Chemistry between Guru Dutt and Waheeda is just fantastic,I prefer Kaagaz Ke Phool over Pyassa any day.

Movie : Chaudhvin Ka Chand.

Music : Bombay Ravi.

USP : a Mohd.Rafi Magic.

Movie : Chinatown.

Music :  Bombay Ravi.

USP :  Peppiness is simply brilliant in Rafi’s Voice.(Amazing Accordion and Bass Guitar Interludes.)

A Wednesday – Once in a life time such movie comes.

What the hell ? When everyone going gaga over ” Unnai Pol Oruvan “, why am scribbling about ” A Wednesday ” ? To show am different from others ? Never.Exactly a year before, when ” A Wednesday ” was on the theatres, i dint feel like to give it a chance since i was looking forward for ” Tahaan ” @ that time coz of Santhosh Sivan.Then positive reviews came from all the side, but it was out from the theatres when i thot of trying it.So i bought the DVD (Thanks to Moserbaer) only to place in my wardrobe (Infact i dint even open the DVD wrapper) Finally today when my roomates were getting ready for ” Unnai Pol Oruvan ” i decided to try the original first.The movie ended around 12.30.I was almost speechless and the movie completely took my breath away.With no mood to sleep, i was keep on wandering to hall and bedroom with my mind rewinding the scenes.Hardly, i’d experienced such kinda feelings and emotions after watching a movie.

 

The way the movie get into the flashback thru Anupam Kher’s narration is itself a classic attempt of story telling.The lightning-pace screenplay,brilliant execution of the scenes,well matured dialogs (Eg.They have asked the questions on Friday and Saturday.Iam just replying to them on Wednesday.) and amazing performances (in the descending order scale) by Naseeruddin Shah (Simply unbelievable performance.!!!) Anupam Kher,Jimmy Shergill makes the movie one of the best ever in Indian Cinema.Above all, the director’s brilliance was clearly evident in the way he handled the characterisation of two cops(Raj & Arif).Instead of abruptly linking them into the story,first portraying their characters with a scene and joining them into the story is a brilliant idea.

Its  really hard to believe this is a debut movie  for Neeraj Pandey.After Katradhu Thamizh, i would say this is a movie straight from the director’s heart without any compromises for the so-called commercial purposes.It doesn’t matter whether u have watched Unnai Pol Oruvan or not,please grab a Moserbaer DVD(50 INR only) and experience a terrific roller-coaster ride.
